WEEK 1 &2
MODULE ONE
WHERE TO BEGIN
In week 1, I’ll show you how to DEFINE who you are as a photographer. We will take time to reflect, make public and take action. You’ll learn how to start branding and marketing yourself as a photographer, how to book your first clients.
I will teach you to create a business portfolio on Facebook & Instagram. How to publicly announce that you are now a “photographer”.

WEEK 3 & 4
MODULE TWO
The Basics of “HOW TO” use a camera
During module 2, after branding yourself and making it public, we will learn the BASICS of a DSLR camera and manual settings. You’ll learn the difference between ISO, aperture and shutter speed. I will also explain memory cards, how to store photos internally & externally and different lenses that matter most in the beginning.
This week you’ll benefit from Traci’s explanation of how to use a camera. The very basics will be taught as you will get better with practice. I will tell you what to purchase as far as memory cards and external hard drives and what lenses will benefit you most during your first few years as a photographer.

Weeks 5 & 6
MODULE THREE
Booking, Payments and Contracts
In module 3, we will learn how to book clients, take payments and understand the use of a contract. I will share with you how to get your own tax ID (sole proprietorship), create a business venmo account and have a fill-in-the-blank contract for your use.
When you understand that you are in charge of your own business, your world becomes a lot more simple. You can choose what to charge and how to accept your payments. I make it easy for you to understand payment methods and how to get what you’re worth-and not a penny less.

Weeks 7 & 8
MODULE FOUR
During the Shoot….
During module 4, I will dive deep into what a photo session looks like. I’ll teach you the best places to choose for the season, how to pose a singular client & families, and how many photos to take in a mini session as compared to a full session.
When you know how to create a perfect setting and how to pose your clients, you will feel SO much more confident going into your photoshoot. I can help you know what to say and how to say it. You will have no stress going into your sessions and will feel spot on with how to run a successful session.

Weeks 9 &10
MODULE FIVE
What you NEED to KNOW about Lightroom
In this module, I will do a tutorial on how to use LR to edit photos. I will share how to batch edit, create your own presets and create collections to export. I will show you how to place watermarks, and export CLEAR photos for uploading and printing.
Being able to learn the basics of LR, you will feel like you’re completely in control. I will take you step by step through editing, removal and rating photos for faster product output.

Weeks 11 & 12
MODULE SIX
Creation of Photo Galleries shared with Clients
In this module, I will share my secret to client photo sharing and making money off of downloads and prints. I use the photo sharing APP “PASS”.. I will do a tutorial and give you a discount code for PASS during this time- I will teach you to upload, store and share the photos in an easy three steps.
This week of the program will lead you to feeling completely ready to share client photos. Without the tutorial on PASS, it is hard to know how to create a gallery that best serves your client. I teach you how to upload photos with watermarks and have clients choose favorites for full editing. I will talk about the difference in softly proofing and full proofing so you do not waste necessary time!

Weeks 13-14
MODULE SEVEN
Balance of WORK/LIFE and maintaining clients long term.
This module is centered around the discipline of owning a business and having a family or other career (job). I will take you through my day-to-day and year-to-year plan.
In this week of the program is the “now what”? Week. Once you have your business up and running it is essential to maintain client relationships and keep the business afloat. It is also important to not get burned out. I will also tell my secrets on how to get social media followers and posting for continual client profit!
